RV-10 Composite Tailcone Skin

RV-10 composite tailcone skin, improve your fuselage profile with installation of the composite tailcone skin. This modification is designed to rework the standard fuse/tailcone transition and enhance boundary layer airflow over the tailcone along with aircraft appearance.

New composite skin will allow for GPS, ELT and other top surface mounted antennas to be hidden within the tailcone structure. No longer having unsightly antennas and the air drag associated with them. The new vertical stabilizer base and tip faring promotes airflow efficiency along with visually enhancing the strait line profile. All aluminum components are formed and pre-punched for a precise easy installation.

The composite tailcone skin is constructed using a heat cured epoxy pre-impregnated fiberglass cloth with a honey comb core. Modification kit include composite tailcone skin, four new bulkhead tops, left and right splice plates and vertical stabilizer faring’s.

Installation of this kit does not require any structural modifications to the standard cabin top or cause a reduction in designed load limits. .
